What is TestFairy?

We help teams find and fix problem fast. We will help your team with:
* Dsitributing apps to anyone who should be testing the app (thats you!). You'll get emal invitations and notifications when there is a new version to test.
* You will be able to send visual feedback and bug reports directly from the app by shaking your device. Videos, app logs and device info will automatically be attached to your report. Feedback will be sent in email to your dev team and to your issue ticketing system.
* With your feedback, developers will receive all the information they need to reproduce and fix problems. This includes videos, logs, device metrics, performance graphs and crash information. Solutions are minutes away!

How do I register to TestFairy as a tester? (iOS)

In order to start testing with TestFairy, you need to be invited by the application owner/developer.
Once you get an email invitation from the developer of the app, follow these steps to register your phone.

  1. Open the invitation mail and follow the link to register your mobile device in TestFairy.

  2. Click the Install button to install the TestFairy profile.

  3. Your device is now registered in TestFairy, You should now wait for the developer to send you a link to download the application to be tested.

  1. Click the “DOWNLOAD APP” link that appears in the mail:

  3. You will be prompt to install the application. Click “Install”:

  4. The application icon should appear on your device desktop.

Troubleshooting installation (iOS)

In case the application does not install on your device, we recommend that you run the troubleshooting tool.

  1. Open your TestFairy account (https://my.testfairy.com) link that appears in the mail:

  2. Open the upper left menu and choose "Troubleshooting":

  3. Click the "START" button to start the troubleshooting process:

  4. Click the "Install" button to install the TestFairy profile.

  5. You should see the troubleshooting resaults with instructions in case there is a problem to be solved by the application developer:


    • Remember that if the application is bigger than 100MB it must be download over WiFi.

Troubleshooting installation (Android)


  • In case the application does not install on your device, please check if you have the same application already installed with the same name and remove it.

  • In Case you are getting "Install blocked" message

    • Go to "Settings" of your device
    • Choose "Security" option
    • Look for "Unknown sources" option
    • Activate the "Allow installation of apps from sources other than the Play Store" option
    • Install the application again

How do I create a tester account?


  • Once you are invited to test an application via TestFairy, you can create a TestFairy account to see your invitations, open bugs, download applications etc.
    Open the mail you got to test a new build and click the "tester account" link.

    Click on the "I am a tester, I do not know my password" and submit your email.
    You will recive an email that will instaruct you to set a new password to your tester account at https://my.testfairy.com/.

How do I open a bug?

When you find a bug is found during your testing session, you can report back in several ways.

  • Logging into your tester dashboard at https://my.testfairy.com
  • Logging to the Android or iOS testers app.
  • Shaking the device and fill in the feedback form that pops up.

How do I provide feedback on the application?


  • The best way to provide feedback is to shake the device and fill the pop up form. If this is not available, ask the application developer to enable it.
